Community Education is provided through the Anoka-Hennepin School District as an efficient and effective way to offer residents of all ages the opportunity for lifelong learning. |Adult activities & classes|
Anoka-Hennepin Community Education offers a wide variety of activities and classes for adults ages 18 and up, including technology, home improvement, recreation, athletics, fitness, arts, crafts and more.
|Aquatics & swimming lessons|
Community Education offers American Red Cross swimming lessons, water exercise, competitive swim, American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid courses, adult swimming lessons, and more.
Summer 2020 Swimming Policies -- COVID-19
- Please wear a swimsuit to class and bring a towel with you.
- You will need to shower before class. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, the locker rooms will not be available for changing.
- Students will need to leave in their swimsuit.
- All Parent/Child, Preschool 1 and 2, and Youth Level 1 will require a parent/guardian in the pool with the child registered for lessons.
- Swimming lesson observation will be limited.
- Surfaces and equipment will be cleaned throughout the day.
|Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE)|
ECFE offers high-quality classes, programs and activities designed to give parents and caregivers information, ideas and skills to support their child's growth and development from birth to grade three. For more information on ECFE classes and programs, call 763-506-1275.
Anoka-Hennepin Community Education offers preschool classes, which prepare children for kindergarten. Our preschool curriculum is aligned with the district kindergarten curriculum. For more information on our preschool program, call 763-506-1500.
Community Education offers fun recreational, athletic and enrichment activities and classes for children 18 months - six years of age and their families. Activities and classes are scheduled at elementary schools and off-site locations during the evening, weekend and summer.
